Leon is a world class Triathlete competing in International events around the Globe. He burst onto the multisport circuit in 2006 when he claimed the ITU World Duathlon Championship in his debut pro season. Since then, he's been burning his way up through the ranks of non-drafting triathlon.
Leon is Bendigo born and bred; he spends the Australian winter training and racing in USA and uses Bendigo as his base in our summer. He is a member of the Bendigo Triathlon Club and is often around on our race days.

Last weekend he competed in the TimberMan half ironman – his post race comments were-
“Had a pretty even day across the board in finishing runner up to Andy Potts at Timberman 70.3 on Sunday. Encouraging signs the form is heading in the right direction for the World Champs in a few weeks time.
I'll use another hit out next week (Rev3 Maine) to inject a little more speed into the legs before sharpening up for Vegas. “
Leon’s splits for the race were 00:24:23; 02:11:26; 01:16:28 for a finishing time of 03:54:53.
At Rev3Maine Leon will be one of the pro’s racing for a share of the $50,000 on offer for the Olympic distance event.
We’ll keep you posted on how he goes this weekend and future events he has planned-
